Freddy started his city career in 1965 and has a wealth of experience in both UK and global markets in both equities and bonds. From the mid 1970’s he has specialised in the Asian markets and headed the Asian desks at County NatWest and W I Carr. He held the position of Managing Director at Kerry Securities (UK) Ltd and Vickers Ballas (UK) Ltd. In 2000 he started an Asian hedge fund Jade Absolute Fund Managers Ltd and was the CEO until he left in 2006.

David has extensive City experience, including 18 years at stockbrokers Phillips & Drew, followed by senior positions at NatWest merchant banking arm and more recently he was Managing Director of Morning Star Investment Management Ltd in Hong Kong. Amongst other interests, he is currently Deputy Non Executive Chairman of Laura Ashley Holdings plc.

Peter retired in April 2006 after a record 42 years at Cazenove, latterly JP Morgan Cazenove. He gained vast experience as head of dealing & sales trading the Asian / Pacific Rim markets for over twenty years. For fifteen years prior to this he was Cazenove’s senior dealer in Global stocks on the London Stock Exchange market floor. Subsequent to his retirement Peter worked for JO Hambro Investment Management as a trading consultant. Shortly after the start of his contract he was appointed as head of trading for the Company. Following the completion of JO Hambro’s consultancy Peter joined Newland Stockbrokers. He is a Member of the Securities Institute.

John has over 30 years experience working in the operations, risk and compliance areas of stockbrokers working for the leading firms of Hoare Govett, Merrill Lynch and was the Risk Manager of Credit Suisse Securities until the company closed down. After this he did some contract work before joining Royal Asset Management on trade risk giving him an insight into the buy side prospective. He is a Associate of the Securities Institute.

Stephen has worked in corporate finance for over 20 years having previously been a fund manager and before that had qualified as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross & Co in London and had worked for them in both London and Toronto in the Insolvency Departments in those cities. He started working as a corporate financier in 1985 first with J S Gadd & Co, then English Trust and then with Insinger de Beaufort. He has worked with a broad range of companies including technology, biotech and resources and has been involved in IPO’s on both AIM and the Full List in London as well as international issues in Ireland and Singapore. He has also been involved in mergers and acquisitions involving private companies, Takeover bids and reverse takeovers. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants as well as a member of the Securities Institute.

Christian joined Elysian Fund Management in march 1998 as an Investment assistant at the launch of the Elysian Global Hedge Fund at the End of 1998. In 1999 he was promoted to Fund and co-managed the fund and acted as head trader until 2001 delivering cumulative returns of over 80%. In 2002 He joined Sagitta Asset Management where he ran the Aegis European long/short equity fund to December 2004. The Aegis fund was nominated in 2004 for the TASS top performing European long/Short equity fund under €100m. He is executive director of Newland Resources in charge of business development, a number of its subsidiaries and companies in which it holds investments.
